The manufacturer lists 6.0–7.5-inch rim widths, measured on a 7-inch rim. The rim diameter is 17 inches.
Is 215 the measured overall width in millimetres?
215 is the nominal width in the tire size. Falken separately lists an overall width of 8.9 inches for this exact tire on its measuring rim.
What information is needed to check vehicle fitment?
Provide the year, make, model, trim, current tire placard size, wheel dimensions and any suspension changes. The 215/55R17 size alone does not confirm the vehicle application.
