Why Choose This Extension For Glass is Class Gen 2? Clean lighting installs need clean wiring. The DD4098 1m DT 4-pin extension wire gives your Glass is Class Gen 2 setup extra reach when the light location is too far from the harness, splitter, or mounting point. This is especially useful for universal Gen 2 kits, custom bracket placements, mirror-mounted lighting, grille-area layouts, and other semi-truck or pickup installs where you want a plug-and-play wiring path instead of a cut-and-splice solution. Key Features & Benefits Adds 1 Meter Of Plug-And-Play Wiring Reach The DD4098 gives you 1 meter of extra DT 4-pin wiring length. That helps when your Gen 2 watermelon light needs to be mounted farther from the harness output or splitter connection. Supports Cleaner Gen 2 Light Placement Glass is Class Gen 2 lights now use a 4-pin DT connector, and this extension helps preserve that connectorized setup. Instead of forcing the light to fit wherever the harness reaches, the DD4098 gives you more freedom to route wiring cleanly. Male-To-Female DT 4-Pin Extension The DD4098 uses one male DT 4-pin connector and one female DT 4-pin connector. This lets it sit inline between compatible Gen 2 lights, splitters, and harness connections. Heavy-Duty 14AWG Wire The DD4098 uses 14AWG wire, making it a practical wiring accessory for lighting installs that need more than a thin universal jumper. Over-Molded Connector Design The over-molded DT connector design helps provide strain relief and protection from the elements around the connector body. This supports a cleaner installation and helps reduce exposed connection points. Performance / Compatibility / Use Case The DD4098 is best used when you need a shorter extension for compatible Glass is Class Gen 2 DT 4-pin lighting systems. It is a smart add-on for customers building a plug-and-play Gen 2 layout with the BTS universal kit, DD4104 relay switched harness, DD4100 splitter, and additional Gen 2 lights. Use cases include: Extending a Gen 2 light from a nearby splitter Routing wiring around a bracket, grille, bumper, or mirror mount Keeping the harness connection accessible Avoiding short wire runs that pull tight Reducing the need for cutting and splicing This extension does not add power by itself. It should be used inside a properly fused, compatible DT 4-pin lighting system. Installation / Fitment / Technical Details This extension is designed for compatible DT 4-pin wiring layouts. For Glass is Class Gen 2 installs, confirm that your lights and harness use matching DT 4-pin connectors before ordering. For 24V Glass is Class Gen 2 builds, confirm the full harness and wiring setup before installing. Build Quality / Materials / Warranty / Trust Signals Diode Dynamics lists this extension with heavy-duty 14AWG wire, standard DT 4-pin connectors, over-molded connector bodies, and a 3-year replacement limited warranty. For BTS customers, the value is simple: this turns a generic DT extension into a practical Gen 2 watermelon light wiring add-on. It helps customers expand and route their Glass is Class Gen 2 installs without cutting into the harness. What’s Included 1x Diode Dynamics DD4098 DT 4-Pin Extension Wire, 1m G) Frequently Asked Questions About The DD4098 1m DT 4-Pin Extension Does the DD4098 work with Glass is Class Gen 2 watermelon lights? Yes, it is intended for compatible DT 4-pin Glass is Class Gen 2 wiring setups. Confirm your lights, harness, and splitter use matching DT 4-pin connectors before ordering. What is the DD4098 used for? The DD4098 adds 1 meter of extension length between compatible DT 4-pin wiring connections. It helps place Gen 2 lights farther from the relay harness or splitter. Is this extension plug-and-play? Yes, when used with compatible DT 4-pin connectors, the DD4098 is a plug-and-play extension wire. No cutting or splicing is required for a matching setup. Should I choose the 1m DD4098 or the 3m DD4099? Choose the DD4098 when the light is close but needs a little extra wire length. Choose the DD4099 when you need a longer run, such as routing across a vehicle, toward the rear, or through a larger custom lighting layout. Can I use multiple extensions together? Avoid stacking extensions without checking current draw, voltage drop, and harness limits. For longer layouts, choose the correct extension length and confirm the full setup before installation. Will this work with older Glass is Class lights? Older hardwired Glass is Class lights may not use the same DT 4-pin connector. This extension is intended for compatible Gen 2 DT 4-pin setups. Can I use this on a 24V truck? Do not assume this extension is 24V compatible. Diode Dynamics lists this extension at 9–16V, so 24V builds should be confirmed before installation.
