GMC Canyon Bulb Size Guide

Find the correct lighting option for your Canyon’s year and original lamp equipment. The headlight LED pairs below cover 2015–2022 factory halogen headlights, and the fog-light choices cover 2015–2020 replaceable fog bulbs. The newer 2023–2026 lighting references explain factory LED equipment and the rear, cargo, brake and license-plate bulbs that remain serviceable.

2015–2022 Canyon: H11 low-beam LED options

Diode Dynamics lists these H11 SL2 and SL2 Pro white pairs for the original replaceable halogen low beam. This is the outermost headlight bulb. These conversions do not replace an original HID bulb or an integrated factory LED headlamp.

Select the white pair: SL2 Cool White (6000K) — DD0467P or SL2 Pro White — DD0483P. Each offer contains two bulbs.

For this Canyon low-beam application, Diode Dynamics reports dimmed output when operating as the daytime running light.

LED headlight conversion bulbs may not comply with FMVSS/CMVSS requirements for on-road use. Check applicable state and provincial laws before use.

2015–2022 Canyon: 9005 high-beam LED options

For the separate original halogen high beam, Diode Dynamics lists these 9005 SL2 and SL2 Pro white pairs. Select the high-beam application independently of the low beam and fog lights.

Select the white pair: SL2 Cool White (6000K) — DD0463P or SL2 Pro White — DD0481P. Each offer contains two bulbs.

Installation: Diode Dynamics specifies a 120-degree rotation on the driver’s side. Follow its Canyon high-beam collar-position photo and the selected bulb’s instructions.

Headlight conversion use and installation information

Diode Dynamics states that these bulbs are not DOT compliant for use in headlamps on public roads in the United States. Follow the manufacturer’s stated intended use and installation instructions. The newer GMC manuals also caution that replacing incandescent bulbs with aftermarket LEDs can damage the vehicle electrical system.

The H11 and 9005 choices above are manufacturer-listed applications for 2015–2022 original halogen lamps. They are separate from the factory LED lighting references for newer trucks below.

2015–2020 Canyon: 5202/PSX24W fog-light options

For the original replaceable PSX24W fog-light bulb, Diode Dynamics lists its 5202/PSX24W SL2, XP80 and HP48 pairs. This fog application is independent of headlight equipment and ends at 2020; it does not cover integrated LED fog assemblies.

Choose a pair: SL2 Cool White — DD0477P · SL2 Yellow — DD0478P · XP80 Cool White — DD0173P · HP48 Cool White — DD0167P. All four offers contain two bulbs. HP48 is a cosmetic upgrade only.

2023–2026 Canyon original lighting and service

Factory LED headlights need service appropriate to their assembly. An LED tail light, however, does not mean that every bulb in the rear housing is LED. Each of the four model-year manuals shows an LED tail light alongside a replaceable combined stop/turn bulb and a separate reverse bulb.

GMC does not print trade bulb numbers for these six service positions. Use the exact original lamp and the product manufacturer’s application when choosing a replacement.

2026 Canyon equipment

GMC lists LED projector headlamps and signature LED daytime running lamps for the specific Elevation 2WD, AT4 4WD and Denali 4WD configurations below. LED fog lamps are available on the listed Elevation and standard on the listed AT4 and Denali.

Reverse, rear-signal and third-brake references

Reverse bulb: Diode Dynamics 2015–2026 application — reference only

Diode Dynamics lists a 921 HP36 Cool White pair, DD0143P, for the Canyon’s original replaceable reverse bulb. This is a manufacturer product application; the newer GMC manuals do not give a reverse bulb number. There is no purchase link for this model in this guide.

The current Canyon option is HP36. In its answer about a 2024 Canyon, Diode Dynamics excludes the XPR option because of fitment. Do not substitute XPR using the page’s generic bulb-option description.

2015–2022 rear turn/tail LED reference and resistor requirement

For original replaceable bulbs behind red lenses, Diode Dynamics lists red 7443 HP48, HP11 and XP80 four-bulb packages. Its application field is labeled 7440; the matched LED product names are 7443. This is the manufacturer’s specific replacement application, with a separate match to the original lamp.

The four-bulb package is a retail quantity. Check the bulbs you intend to replace on your truck. HP48 is a cosmetic upgrade only. This application uses BCM-controlled flashing and requires one separate 6-ohm resistor per replaced rear turn-signal bulb; a removable flasher is not the specified solution. The application ends at 2022 and does not cover a factory LED position.

2015–2026 Morimoto X3B55 third-brake/cargo assembly — reference only

The X3B55 is a complete third-brake and cargo-light module, not a replacement bulb. Morimoto lists one module and one plug-and-play adapter harness. Its optional X3B01 rapid-flash module is separate.

Morimoto identifies this assembly as designed and tested for US-spec vehicles and says compatibility outside that specification is not guaranteed. No purchase link for X3B55 is included here.
