Nissan Frontier Bulb Size Guide
Match your Frontier’s model year, light position and installed lamp before choosing a bulb. Start with the LED options below, then check the original Nissan charts. The 2026 lighting lineup includes factory LED headlights; earlier headlight and fog-bulb applications have their own year limits.

2009–2026 Frontier front turn signal and parking-light option
For an original replaceable front turn/parking bulb, Diode Dynamics lists its 7443 HP24 switchback pair for the 2009–2026 Frontier. It provides white parking-light output and an amber turn signal. A clear lens/reflector is required to see the white output. This bulb option does not replace an integrated LED turn signal.
Diode Dynamics 7443 HP24 switchback — Pair
DD0110P: two bulbs. Signal resistors are sold separately.
View the Pair optionRequired signal resistors
Diode Dynamics specifies one 6-ohm resistor for each turn-signal bulb replaced on this BCM-controlled application. The DD4025 kit contains two resistors and four splice connectors; it is separate from the bulb pair.
Diode Dynamics LED resistor kit — Pair. Connect across the turn-signal circuit and ground as instructed. Resistors become hot during prolonged operation; keep them away from plastic, wiring and fabric.
The switchback listing describes parking and turn-signal operation. If your signal position is used continuously as a daytime running light, confirm that operating mode for the selected replacement before buying. Nissan’s original 7444NA Turn/Park designation in the newer manuals remains separate from Diode Dynamics’ 7443 replacement-product name.
2015–2021 Frontier H11 fog-light options
Diode Dynamics lists these exact products for a replaceable H11 fog-light position on the 2015–2021 Frontier. Choose the fog-light configuration independently of the headlights. This application does not cover 2022–2026 fog lamps or a complete factory LED fog assembly.
SL2: White pair — DD0467P · Yellow pair — DD0468P. XP80: Cool White pair — DD0165P. HP48: Cool White pair — DD0158P is a cosmetic upgrade only. Each listed package contains two bulbs.
Older Frontier 9007 headlight catalogue reference
Headlight Revolution’s Morimoto 9007 catalogue names 2001–2018 and 2021–2022 Frontier high/low-beam applications. Use this as a bulb-family reference after identifying the original housing, connector and bulb. It is not a vehicle-specific installed-test statement.
Morimoto 9007/9004 2Stroke 4.0 — 9007 product reference, exact listing SKU 2 x LED2050, contains two bulbs with drivers. The product’s wider 9007/9004 title does not make every listed Frontier a 9004 application.
The catalogue lists 2019 separately as “High Beam, High/Low Beam”, so identify the actual headlamp before choosing a replacement. It has no 2020 Frontier row. Neither this catalogue nor this product block establishes a 2024–2025 replacement for Nissan’s raw HB5 designation, or a conversion for 2026 factory LED headlights.
LED headlight conversion bulbs may not comply with FMVSS/CMVSS requirements for on-road use. Check applicable state and provincial laws before use.
Headlamp product source and use information
The supplier’s exact Morimoto 9007 page provides the finite catalogue rows above. It states the LED conversion is not DOT/FMVSS108 compliant for headlamp use on public roads in the United States. Follow the selected product’s installation and intended-use instructions. Optional adapters, anti-flicker equipment and dust caps require their own installation assessment; they are not all included or required by the Frontier catalogue row.
2026 Frontier original bulb and lighting chart
The 2026 Nissan manual prints two exterior bulb designations. Its Type A Turn/Park qualifier does not identify a trim by itself. The high-mounted stoplight/cargo entry is a combined source label, not a statement of how many bulbs the truck uses.
| Light / source equipment | Nissan bulb number | Watts |
|---|---|---|
| Headlight (Type A) (if so equipped) / Turn/Park | 7444NA | 28/8 |
| High-mounted stop light/cargo light | 912 | 12.8 |
The manual recommends Nissan service for LED headlamp replacement. It does not print separate rear turn, reverse, brake, marker or license-plate bulb numbers in this short chart. Do not substitute an older-year bulb code for those unlisted positions.
2026 factory lighting by cab and trim
The original Nissan brochure distinguishes these five cab/trim configurations. Standard LED taillights do not identify the technology of every separate rear-light function. Overhead cargo lighting and under-rail bed lighting are separate features.
| Feature | King Cab S | Crew Cab S | Crew Cab SV | Crew Cab PRO-X | Crew Cab PRO-4X |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intelligent Auto Headlights | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard |

| LED taillights | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard |
| Overhead cargo bed lights | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard | Standard |
| LED under-rail bed lighting | Not marked | Not marked | Package C1 | Package C2 | Package C2 |
“Not marked” means that cell is blank in this feature row. Package C1/C2 markings retain the brochure’s package identifiers. A blank cell does not prove the absence of every version of that light.
2024–2025 Frontier original bulb sizes
The two separate Nissan manuals list the same bulb numbers below, while retaining different equipment branches. Identify the installed headlight, fog and DRL assemblies independently; the repeated Type A/Type B labels do not supply a trim cross-reference.
| Light / equipment as printed | Nissan bulb number | Watts |
|---|---|---|

— = unspecified in the manual, not an LED designation. An asterisk recommends a Nissan dealer for replacement. The original halogen headlight bulb is replaceable, but Nissan recommends dealer service because the headlamp assembly must be removed. Separate LED-headlight and LED-fog paragraphs also recommend Nissan service; they do not assign those lamps to the table’s Type A/B branches.
Use the original bulb number and wattage and follow the handling instructions. Nissan describes Type A DRL operation separately from Type B LED DRLs; Type B operates at full intensity and changes to the parking function when the headlights are switched on. These operating descriptions do not establish replacement signal-bulb DRL compatibility.
Cargo, third-brake and rear bulb application references
These are Diode Dynamics application references, separate from Nissan’s original bulb chart. They describe replacement bulbs at the named position, not complete integrated LED lamps. Confirm the actual lamp, color and physical bulb quantity before selecting a product.
| Position | Explicit supplier years | Supplier designation | Equipment / package notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Front amber turn signal | 2009–2026 | 7440 application; 7443 product names | Amber HP48/HP11/XP80 pairs; the switchback product uses its separate clear-lens instructions above. One 6-ohm resistor per replaced turn bulb. |
| Cargo light | 2005–2026 | 921 | Cool White HP36 or XPR pairs. This is not an under-rail LED bed-light application. |
| Third brake light | 2005–2026 | 921 application; 194 HP5 or 921 XPR product names | Red DD0030S HP5 or DD0395S XPR are sold as individual bulbs. The source explicitly says the number needed varies with trim. |
| Rear turn signal | 2005–2021 | 3156 application; 3157 product names | Use red output behind a red lens, amber output behind a clear/amber lens. HP48 is cosmetic-only. One 6-ohm resistor per replaced turn bulb; products are pairs. |
| Tail light | 1998–2021 | 3157 | Red HP48/HP11 pairs for the named tail position. HP48 is cosmetic-only. This listing does not establish a separate rear-turn application. |
| Reverse light | 2005–2021 | 921 application; 194 HP5 or 921 HP36/XPR product names | Cool White pairs; no 2022–2026 application is established by this source. |
Nissan’s 912 high-mounted stoplight/cargo number remains the original 2024–2026 specification. The supplier’s 921 application field and 194/921 product names identify its particular replacements; they are not a universal 912/921/194 interchange rule. Cargo and third-brake sources have different colors and package sizes.
Frontier bulb questions
Can I buy one bulb size for every Frontier year?
No. Use the exact model year and installed lamp. The 2024–2025 Type A headlamp chart lists HB5, while the 2026 brochure lists factory LED headlights. Earlier 9007 catalogue rows and 2015–2021 H11 fog options keep their own coverage.
Does an LED headlight mean my turn signal is also LED?
Identify the turn-signal position separately. The 2026 manual still lists 7444NA for its Type A Turn/Park branch, and the brochure does not map that branch to a trim. An integrated LED signal cannot use the replaceable-bulb option above.
How many bulbs or resistor kits should I order?
The shown switchback and fog packages contain two bulbs. The resistor package contains two resistors, and its application requires one per replaced turn bulb. Check the actual number of lamps being replaced; a package size does not establish the truck’s bulb count. Third-brake reference products are singles.
