Diode Dynamics D-Switch · 2021–2026 F-150
Your lighting. One organised control system.
Bring the F-150’s auxiliary lights together with eight configurable main outputs, a dedicated backlight bus and a compact controller. DD8783 combines the D-Switch electronics and wiring with the exact vehicle-specific engine-bay bracket.
Start with the right package
Group lights the way you use them
One button, several outputs
Use the app to link several channels to one button, name each circuit and choose toggle or momentary operation. Buttons are not permanently tied to matching output numbers.
Keep accent lighting separate
The dedicated BL button switches the backlight bus, leaving all eight main outputs available for your primary lighting and accessories.

Configure the system in the Bluetooth app, then use its physical controller, your phone or a compatible Apple CarPlay/Android Auto display. Custom momentary functions do not work through CarPlay or Android Auto.

Automatic control with the right vehicle signal
Three function-trigger inputs can respond to suitable factory 12V signals. A separate Night Mode input adjusts controller brightness and can also trigger outputs; the separate white ignition lead follows ignition operation. These inputs need discrete 12VDC signals, not CAN, LIN or CXPI data wires.
Have the installer verify the exact F-150 circuit before making a connection. The kit does not include a vehicle-specific signal-wire pinout.

Plan the load before choosing a channel
- Main outputs
- Channels 1–4: 15A each. Channels 5–8: 30A each.
- Backlight circuit
- Eight connection positions on a separate bus, 15A total.
- System maximum
- 125A total; individual channel limits still apply.
- Electrical supply
- 12V vehicle accessories; operating range 9–16VDC.
- Protection
- Adjustable electronic channel limits plus a 125A fuse on the battery cable.
- Weather resistance
- IP67-rated hub/controller electronics, excluding wiring terminals.
- Controller size
- 5.06 ×2.66 ×0.45 inches.
- Hub size
- 8.33 ×6.26 ×1.79 inches.
Higher-current accessories: a load above 30A, including some SS5 Pro CrossLink setups, needs a suitable separately powered HD/UHD relay harness. The D-Switch controls the relay instead of carrying that load directly. Mechanical relays support on/off control, not PWM dimming.
An F-150 bracket, with practical fitment checks
Diode Dynamics lists this bracket for 2021–2026 Ford F-150, including the 2021–2023 trucks featured in our lighting guide. Match the engine-bay mounting points before installation.
2021 3.0L Power Stroke: Diode says this diesel engine bay has not been internally tested. Contact BTS to confirm clearance before ordering. This is not a confirmed Expedition application.
The included bracket uses factory mounting points. Cab-controller mounting and wiring can require additional work. Use the vehicle’s appropriate 12V supply; never connect the D-Switch to a hybrid drive battery.

Common D-Switch questions
Does the complete kit include the F-150 bracket?
Yes. DD8783 includes DD8572 plus the hub, controller, wiring and listed installation accessories.
Can I dim every accessory?
No. Use PWM or flash functions only with compatible loads. Mechanical relays provide on/off control only.
Is every terminal waterproof?
No. The IP67 rating applies to the electronics, excluding the wiring terminals. Follow the routing and connection instructions.
Does it have a battery fuse?
Yes. The current PP0236D manual specifies a 125A fuse on the battery cable, in addition to the electronic channel-current protection.
Can the truck screen run momentary buttons?
The manual states that custom momentary functions do not work with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Use a supported control method for those functions.
