Questions about 305/45R22
What does 305/45R22 mean on this A/T4W?
305 is the nominal section width in millimetres; 45 is the sidewall aspect ratio as a percentage of that width. R identifies radial construction, and 22 is the wheel diameter in inches.
What wheel width does the 305/45R22 size require?
The approved rim-width range is 9.5–11.5 inches for a 22-inch wheel. The wheel’s own tire-size and load limits must also be suitable.
What does the 118S service marking mean?
118 is the load index and S is the speed symbol. Compare both with the vehicle’s tire requirements; the wheel diameter alone does not establish the correct replacement.
Is the 305 mm size width an exact clearance measurement?
It is a nominal size designation. Measured tire dimensions use a specified measuring rim, so confirm the actual wheel setup and available vehicle clearance before changing tire size.
