Check the housing before installation
Inspect the lens, base, gasket and existing seals. Repair a damaged housing or seal appropriately rather than covering a leak with a vent patch. Confirm that the particular light can accept the proposed vent opening and that the surrounding surface is suitable for the adhesive.
Bonding and vent location
Use the lamp’s installation instructions to choose the location and number of vents. Keep wiring and components clear of the opening, clean the bonding surface and centre the patch over the approved opening. Confirm the adhesive instructions for this patch before putting the light into service.
