Peterbilt 389 interior plate kit with penny-light headliner
This Peterbilt 389 interior mounting kit combines two stainless steel above-door plates with one matching penny-light headliner plate. The mirror-finish plates are the dual-switch versions, with mounting hardware listed for each component. Lights are sold separately.
Choose the light layout
Four standard watermelon-light positions above the doors plus two 3/4-inch penny-light or compatible mini-watermelon positions in the headliner.
Lights are sold separately. Start with BTS Glass Is Class watermelon lights for the standard watermelon positions. Compare the selected light and plate mounting arrangement before ordering.
The two smaller headliner positions use 3/4-inch penny lights or compatible mini watermelon lights; they are a different format from the standard watermelon positions above the doors.

Questions about this Peterbilt 389 plate kit
Does this kit include the watermelon or penny lights?
No. This is a mounting-plate kit with switches and the component mounting hardware. The component listings explicitly exclude the lights; choose the lamps separately for your desired colour and function.
How many mounting plates are in the bundle?
Three plates: two A0025 above-door plates and one A0027 headliner plate. Each A0025 above-door plate can be used on the driver or passenger side.
How many light positions does this layout provide?
Four standard watermelon-light positions above the doors plus two 3/4-inch penny-light or compatible mini-watermelon positions in the headliner. These are mounting positions, not included lamps.
What is different about the other headliner kit?
The above-door plates are the same in both kits. The watermelon-headliner kit has one standard watermelon-light position in its centre plate; the penny-headliner kit has two positions for 3/4-inch penny lights or compatible mini watermelon lights.
What are the switches intended to control?
The included plates are the dual-switch versions with 3-way switches for compatible dual-colour or dual-intensity lighting. Match the selected lamp functions and wiring to the switch arrangement before installation; a switch does not add a second function to a single-function lamp.
Will these plates fit every Peterbilt cab?
The kit is listed for Peterbilt 389 interiors. Compare the above-door and headliner mounting locations, existing trim and available clearance with the plates. Confirm other models, changed interiors or uncertain cab configurations with BTS before ordering.
What mounting hardware is listed for the plates?
Each above-door plate lists four 1-inch × 8-32 machine screws and four clips. The headliner plate lists two 2-inch × 8-32 machine screws and two clip plates. Inspect the mounting locations and match the supplied hardware before fastening.
