Fitment and mounting
Choose by the 6-inch oval light format, the required backup-light function and the vehicle’s 12V supply. Match the chosen retainer or grommet’s specified cutout, rear connector and available clearance. A nominal lamp size or a 12V rating alone does not confirm fit in every truck bracket.
What’s included
One 36837 Mirage backup light. The recommended 31506 rubber push-in grommet is sold separately; confirm the matching wiring connector for the installation.
Installation notes
Compare the light with the actual oval opening and mount before installation. United Pacific recommends its 31506 6-inch oval push-in grommet. Match the physical rear connector and active contacts before choosing the pigtail, then connect to the appropriate 12V reverse circuit using the actual lead identification.
Warranty
Lifetime warranty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 36837 a stop/turn/tail light?
No. This exact Mirage part is a white LED backup light. Other Mirage products provide different functions; match the function and part number as well as the lens style.
What makes it a Mirage light?
The Mirage lens creates a mirror-depth visual effect. This exact light has a clear lens with 24 white LEDs; the style name does not mean the LEDs change colour.
Is the mounting grommet included?
The recommended 31506 6-inch oval rubber push-in grommet is sold separately. Compare its mounting arrangement with the opening and rear clearance before ordering.
Does a 12V rating mean it fits every truck?
No. The lamp is specified for a 12V supply, but the opening, mount, connector and backup-light circuit also need to match. It is not a vehicle-specific plug-in kit.
Is the listed size the size of the shipping package?
No. 6-inch describes the nominal oval light size. Shipping-package dimensions include the packaging and should not be used as a cutout template. This listing supplies one light.
