Diode Dynamics Tail-as-Turn Kit for 2017–2018 Subaru Forester
Use the original tail lights as turn signals with a vehicle-specific Diode Dynamics module pair. These are wiring modules and selected supporting LEDs, not replacement tail-light housings.
Check your vehicle and original lighting
- 2017–2018 Subaru Forester with original LED tail lights. Verify the lamp equipment, not the trim name alone.
- USDM only; not EU/AU models. Remove the factory turn-signal bulb when the old signal socket is not converted to LED backup operation.
Choose the correct package
Modules Only — DD3045
- Two vehicle-specific Tail-as-Turn modules, one for each side.
- Manufacturer installation instructions.
Stage 1 — Backup LEDs — DD3047
- Two vehicle-specific Tail-as-Turn modules, one for each side.
- Two 7443 white LED backup bulbs for the former turn-signal location.
- Manufacturer installation instructions.
Stage 2 — XPR Backup LEDs — DD3048
- Two vehicle-specific Tail-as-Turn modules, one for each side.
- Two XPR 7443 white LED backup bulbs for the former turn-signal location.
- Manufacturer installation instructions.
Modules Only does not include backup bulbs. Stage 1 adds matched white LED backup bulbs. Stage 2 uses XPR backup bulbs. These packages do not include new tail-light housings or replacement bulbs for the vehicle’s existing separate backup-light position.
Installation and warranty
The modules connect at the original tail-light connectors. Complete the manufacturer’s backup-circuit connections for the selected package, and use LEDs in the converted backup positions. Test the affected lighting functions after installation. The product carries a 3-year limited manufacturer warranty.

Questions before ordering
Does this replace the light housings?
No. This package supplies the modules and only the supporting parts listed above. The vehicle’s original lamp housings remain in use.
What happens to the original turn-signal bulbs?
Follow the instructions for the chosen package. If you do not convert the old signal sockets to LED backup operation, the original turn-signal bulbs must be removed.
Which option adds backup lights?
Choose Stage 1 or Stage 2 for the included white LED bulbs used in the former turn-signal positions. The Modules Only option does not supply those bulbs.
