Diode Dynamics Elite Series Type Y LED Fog Lamps (Pair)
Upgrade your factory fog lights with the Diode Dynamics Elite Series Type Y Fog Lamps — a high-performance OEM-style replacement engineered for maximum visibility and road-legal performance. Featuring advanced optics, integrated amber backlighting, and plug-and-play installation, these fog lights dramatically outperform factory halogen systems.
A True Performance Fog Light Upgrade
Most factory fog lights are designed only to meet minimum brightness standards. Many aftermarket options simply swap halogen bulbs for LEDs without improving the optical design.
The Elite Series Fog Lamps were engineered from the ground up for real performance. Using a patent-pending toroidal optic, multi-die automotive LEDs, and full copper circuit boards, these lamps deliver dramatically improved output and beam quality compared to factory fog lights.
The result is up to five times the usable output of traditional halogen fog lamps, improving visibility in poor weather conditions.
Advanced Optical Performance
Custom Toroidal Lens Optic
Each Elite Series fog lamp uses a precision-engineered single-piece toroidal lens that creates an extremely wide and uniform beam pattern.
Key performance features include:
-
80° beam width
-
Smooth light distribution
-
Extremely sharp cutoff to prevent glare
-
BMW-style color band at the top of the beam pattern
Despite the wide beam pattern, these lamps remain SAE F3 compliant for on-road use.
Choose Your Light Color
Cool White – 6000K
Produces a crisp white beam that matches most factory LED headlights and daytime running lights.
Selective Yellow – 3000K
Ideal for rain, snow, fog, and dusty environments thanks to improved contrast and reduced glare.
The selective yellow version uses true yellow emitters paired with a yellow lens, maximizing efficiency compared to filtered white light.
Integrated Amber Backlight
Each Elite Series fog lamp includes a distinctive amber accent backlight that illuminates the lens.
This feature can be wired to operate as:
-
Parking light
-
Side marker
-
Accent lighting
The backlight automatically turns off when the main beam activates.
Always verify local regulations regarding accent lighting.
Plug-and-Play Installation
Elite Series Type Y fog lamps install as a direct replacement for factory fog lights.
Installation features include:
-
Plug-and-play main beam wiring
