Original Red/Blue Glass Is Class Duo watermelon light
SKU Alpha-Duo-RB identifies the original red/blue dual-color assembly. It pairs a real glass star-pattern lens with a fanless custom H11-style bulb for a custom show or off-road lighting installation. The glass housing and LED bulb are included; the vehicle mounting bracket is separate.
For a new build, compare the current Red/Blue Glass Is Class Duo Gen 2 assembly. The generations use different bulbs and specifications.

Mounting and replacement parts
Compare the glass housing, bulb clearance, mounting pattern and bracket before installation. The LED component should be protected from direct water spray as specified in the existing installation information. Glass remains breakable; avoid overtightening retaining hardware.
These lights are identified for show and off-road use and are not claimed to meet SAE/DOT road-lighting requirements. Matching an amber or red color does not establish certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Alpha-Duo-RB the original Duo or the Gen 2 version?
This SKU identifies the original Red/Blue Glass Is Class Duo assembly with a fanless custom H11-style dual-color bulb. The Red/Blue Gen 2 assembly is a separate product with its own bulb and specifications.
Which two LED colors does Alpha-Duo-RB use?
The primary LED color is red and the secondary is blue. These names describe the light output, not the wire insulation colors. Confirm the exact SKU when replacing a bulb.
What happens when both color feeds are powered?
The documented original Duo wiring gives priority to the secondary blue color when both color feeds are powered. Match the supplied ground, primary and secondary lead identification before connection.
Can this original Duo be connected to a 24V system?
The published operating specification for this original fanless Duo is 12V. The newer Gen 2 model’s 12V/24V rating must not be applied to this original assembly without exact component verification.
Does an H11-style base make it a vehicle headlight bulb?
No. This is a custom dual-color bulb for its matching glass watermelon-light housing. The base shape alone does not establish an OEM headlight application or electrical interchangeability with another bulb.
Does the original Duo include a vehicle mounting bracket?
The assembly includes the glass light and its dual-color bulb; the vehicle mounting bracket is separate. Compare the pattern and clearance using the BTS watermelon light brackets. A truck model name does not confirm a custom mounting location.
Is the primary color certified for road use?
The current BTS product description identifies this original Duo for show and off-road applications and states it is not SAE/DOT compliant. Do not treat the primary LED color as proof of road-lighting certification.
Can I order a current Gen 2 alternative in the same colors?
Yes. BTS lists a separate Red/Blue Glass Is Class Duo Gen 2 assembly. Compare its included components, dimensions and wiring for your installation. Sharing a color pair does not establish that every old part can be reused.
