Most watermelon bulbs on the market are generic switchback designs built for plastic lenses, scattered diode arrays, or automotive housings. They rely on brightness changes instead of true color control and often suffer from poor beam fill, overheating, and moisture failures.
The AlphaFit was designed from the ground up for real glass watermelon optics.
By using two dedicated LED chip banks per side and an extremely small emission surface area, the AlphaFit produces a full, uniform star-beam pattern with no center dark void—something multi-diode and switchback bulbs simply cannot achieve.
This is not a dim/bright bulb.
