Peterbilt 567 bulb sizes by lighting position
The factory halogen chart in Peterbilt’s 2024 Model 567 operator’s manual lists H11-LL for low beam/DRL, HB3A-LL for high beam and 4157NAK for the combined front turn signal, parking and side-marker bulb. Factory LED headlights and replacement housings need their own specifications.
Alpha Series kit for a matching H11/9005 setup
The Peterbilt 567 ReadyFit kit is listed for serviceable H11 low-beam and 9005 high-beam headlight configurations. Match the actual bulb markings, retainers, connectors and housing before ordering.
- Low beam: two H11 LED bulbs.
- High beam: two 9005 LED bulbs.
- Included accessories: two extended low-beam dust caps, a compact 9005 decoder pair and a 3g grease tube.
Both bulb pairs are in one kit; do not order a separate kit for each beam. Optional signal bulbs are separate from the base kit.
Factory-headlamp restriction: Peterbilt’s January 2026 Model 567 manual warns against LED replacement sources in PACCAR headlamps because incorrect bulb types can overheat due to the internal optics and may cause a fire. The kit listing does not establish PACCAR approval. Follow the requirements for the installed headlamp.
Factory bulb reference
This table follows the 2021 and 2024 Model 567 manuals’ halogen and LED equipment entries. These are documented model-year examples, not proof of every intervening year. The January 2026 manual repeats these exterior bulb codes, but its publication date does not establish a model-year range.
| Light position and equipment | Original specification |
|---|---|
| Low beam / DRL, halogen | H11-LL — 12V, 55W |
| High beam, halogen | HB3A-LL — 12V, 60W |
| Front turn signal / parking / side marker, halogen | 4157NAK — 12V, 28.5W |
| LED side markers | LED — no replacement-bulb code listed |
| Rear tail lamps / turn signals | LED — no replacement-bulb code listed |
The manual says the long-life version is optional for the two headlamp bulbs. It does not state the total number of bulbs installed on the truck. Its front signal footnote describes one bulb performing three functions; that is not a count of three bulbs.
Low-beam H11 bulbs and extended dust caps
BTS’s installation experience is that most LED low-beam installations on the Peterbilt 567 need extended dust covers. Check the housing opening and cooling clearance, and make sure the cover closes without pressing on the bulb or wiring.
The Alpha 567 kit above already includes a pair of extended low-beam covers. Buy separate covers only when your chosen bulb package does not include the required pair.
High-beam bulbs: read the complete code
Shop Peterbilt 567 9005 LED high beams
BTS-tested high-beam fit: the original Peterbilt 567 halogen specification is HB3A-LL; shop 9005 LED high-beam replacements. BTS has confirmed that its current Alpha, Morimoto and GTR 9005 offerings fit the original high-beam housings without clearance issues. The original code is retained for reference; it does not require a separate LED shopping size.
Choose from Alpha, Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0 and GTR Ultra 3.0 below. The Morimoto and GTR listings each contain two bulbs. These high-beam products are separate from the signal bulbs.
Front signals, parking lights and markers
Original bulb: 4157NAK. LED replacement family: 3157/4157. The original bulb combines the front turn-signal, parking and side-marker functions. The 3157 and 4157 numbers distinguish original incandescent specifications, but compatible LED replacements share the same shopping family. You do not need a separate product labelled only “4157 LED.”
Choose amber output for these front signal/parking/marker functions. BTS confirms four bulbs for the factory signal/parking/marker group, so order two pairs. Signal bulbs are separate from the headlight bulbs and included dust covers in the base Alpha kit.
Shop amber 3157/4157 LED signal bulbs
BTS-tested quantity: four signal/parking/marker bulbs — order two pairs. The Alpha and Morimoto amber options below are each sold as a pair. These four signal bulbs are separate from the four headlight bulbs and included dust covers in the base Alpha headlight kit.
BTS recommendation: choose Alpha for bright, reliable signal operation when the high-power signal circuit is not held on as a daytime running light. Alpha signal bulbs do not reduce their high-power output during sustained operation; do not use them for a continuously energized high-power signal DRL.
Morimoto XB alternative: supports standard and CK sockets. BTS has tested its protective output reduction during sustained signal-DRL operation on the T880 and W990. Morimoto separately excludes PWM-driven DRL circuits; contact BTS if that is your setup.
Factory LED headlights and other exterior lights
Factory LED headlamps are a different equipment option. They do not use the halogen replacement bulbs in the table; use the headlamp’s service information for an LED module or assembly replacement.
The cited table identifies LED side markers and rear tail/turn lamps. It does not give a bulb size for fog, reverse, licence-plate, separate brake or cab-clearance lights. Read the marking on the installed lamp before ordering for those positions.
Replacement headlight housings can use different bulbs
For example, United Pacific’s 2022 catalogue lists its 35802 and 35803 headlight assemblies for the 2014–2022 Peterbilt 567 with H11 low beam and HB3 high beam. Those are specifications for those exact replacement housings, not a change to Peterbilt’s factory chart.
Use the installed assembly’s part number when comparing replacement bulbs or complete headlights. Match the year, mounting, connectors and equipment notes on the selected product.
Installation and road-use notes
Use decoder modules only when required by the actual circuit and installation instructions. A module does not guarantee that every warning or flicker will be eliminated. The kit’s linked Peterbilt 389 instructions are a reference; they are not a model-specific 567 installation procedure.
LED headlight conversion bulbs may not comply with FMVSS/CMVSS requirements for on-road use. Check applicable state and provincial laws before use.
