Important — 2008–2011 Peterbilt 389 compatibility
JW Speaker Model 9600 headlights may not be compatible with the truck’s CAN-bus/lighting control module (LCM). BTS advises that these model years lack LCM LED-mode programming, so dealers cannot program out the resulting errors as they can on newer models. According to BTS’s current product guidance, JW Speaker is aware of this issue and currently has no fix. The separately sold harness is a wiring adapter only and will not resolve this compatibility issue. Contact BTS before purchasing for a 2008–2011 Peterbilt 389.
Required wiring harness — sold separately
Black and chrome JW Speaker Model 9600 headlights do not include a wiring harness. Purchase one harness per headlight; two harnesses are needed for two headlights.
- Peterbilt 388, 389 and 567, model years 2023 and older (see the 2008–2011 Peterbilt 389 warning above): JW Speaker 3271081 wiring harness.
- Peterbilt 589, model years 2024 onward: JW Speaker 3272531 wiring harness.
