Jeep JL / JT Morimoto Super7 Headlight Installation
Fit the JL / JT Super7 pair using its supplied adapters, then test and aim the lamps before driving.
Check the kit before removing the grille
This guide follows the original Morimoto 2018–2022 JL / JT installation manual for this lamp. Match your vehicle and factory equipment to the current product listing; the manual cover is not a separate fitment approval.
Tools: ratchet, 10 mm socket and #2 Phillips screwdriver, and a flat screwdriver or plastic trim tool. Keep the original fasteners for reassembly. If the connectors or mounting parts differ, stop and confirm the kit before modifying anything.
Remove, connect and aim
01 Release the upper grille clips
Remove the six push retainers across the top of the grille.
02 Lift away the grille
Pull forward to release the lower clips and set the grille safely aside.
03 Unbolt the driver-side lamp
Remove its three 10 mm mounting bolts and support the headlight.
04 Release the factory plug
Press the indicated release tab and pull the connector apart without pulling on the wires.
05 Remove the passenger lamp
Repeat the mounting-bolt and connector steps on the other side.
06 Attach the LED driver
Align the connector arrows, push the plugs fully together and secure the threaded collar.
07 Connect the anti-flicker module
Connect the driver to the supplied anti-flicker module.
08 Add the JL / JT adapter
Connect the vehicle-specific adapter to the anti-flicker module. Prepare both headlight assemblies this way.
09 Install the driver-side assembly
Use the lamp marked L on the driver side. Connect its adapter to the vehicle harness, align the mounting points and reinstall the original bolts.
10 Install the passenger assembly
Repeat with the other lamp and its complete driver / anti-flicker / adapter chain.
11 Test both lamps
Check low and high beams before reinstalling the grille.
12 Refit the grille
Engage the lower clips and reinstall the top retainers.
13 Adjust the beam height
Reach the vertical adjuster through the housing opening with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Turn it a little at a time and observe whether the beam moves up or down; finish against the original 25-foot (7.6 m) aiming reference.
