Apply clear film to Tacoma XB Evo headlights

Confirm LF2-530 or LF2-530Y headlights before peeling the backing. The supplier diagrams show general application on a round lamp; the video demonstrates a different vehicle. Neither depicts the Tacoma film outline.

Confirm the cut and prepare

Check the LMX2-530 label and dry alignment against each headlight with the backing still attached. Work in a clean, shaded area. Thoroughly clean the lens, remove residues and keep dust away from the film adhesive.

1. Lightly mist and position

Follow the instructions supplied with your film for the application solution. The original generic diagram shows a light water mist on the adhesive. Handle the edges and align the cut without pulling it out of shape.

2. Smooth outward

Secure the film gently at the centre, then work outward with even pressure to move trapped water toward the edges. Correct alignment patiently as the shape settles.

3. Finish lifting areas carefully

The generic supplier diagram permits gentle blow-dryer warmth if needed for a lifting area. Avoid overheating either film or lens. Follow the supplied directions for handling tabs and cure time before washing.

Keep the original instructions with the job

Open the original two-page supplier installation PDF. These are general round-lens examples, not an LMX2-530-specific manual. The instructions supplied with your exact film take priority if they differ.

If the cut or application is not going well, protect the adhesive on its liner and ask BTS for help before trimming or discarding it.
