Before installation
Confirm the original tail lights are not the excluded full-LED type. Transfer the original BLIS module where fitted and follow the supplied harness/resistor instructions. Check the black tailgate-side brackets and all lamp clearances before securing the assemblies, then test each light and the retained system.

Can these tail lights replace the factory full-LED lamps?
No. Morimoto excludes OEM full-LED tail-light trucks, including the stated Platinum/Limited configurations. A BLIS-compatible housing does not override that wiring and lamp-type exclusion.
Does the pair include new blind-spot radar modules?
No. On an otherwise compatible BLIS-equipped truck, the original radar modules transfer to the new lights. The product does not add BLIS to a truck that lacks it.
Can a compatible truck without BLIS use these lights?
Yes. Morimoto states the lights can operate without a radar module on a compatible truck that did not have that system. Match the original tail-light type and supplied wiring.
Why should I check the black brackets beside the tailgate?
