Supercharged output for the LF2-498 headlight series
LF2-DRVSC18 is an optional replacement driver pair for Morimoto LF2-498 and LF2-498Y headlights. It is designed for the 2021–2023 F-150 / Raptor headlight application, but compatibility is determined by the Morimoto headlight part number—not the vehicle alone.
Off-road use only. Installing these drivers produces non-compliant peak beam intensity; do not use them on public roads. Reinstall the standard drivers to restore the manufacturer’s compliant output configuration. There is no switchable road setting.
What is included?
- Two Supercharged LED drivers: one pair for the two compatible headlight housings.
- Mounting screws and one packet of grease.
- Headlights are sold separately.
- Five-year limited manufacturer warranty; manufacturer terms apply.
How these drivers change the headlights
- Morimoto specifies a 30–50% increase in low- and high-beam intensity relative to the matching standard drivers. Actual results depend on the headlight model.
- Green indicator: low-beam circuit power. Blue: high-beam circuit power. Red: DRL / switched-ignition supply.
- Direct replacement for the standard drivers on the specified Morimoto housings; not a factory-headlight adapter.
On the compatible XB Evo Hybrid headlights, Morimoto specifies that the Supercharged drivers also activate the welcome sequence. The headlights remain a separate purchase.
Installation
Follow the installation instructions for the exact headlight model. Disconnect power before replacing the standard driver and follow the manufacturer’s mounting and connector instructions.
Common questions
Does quantity one include both drivers?
Yes. One set supplies two LED drivers, one for each compatible headlight. Do not order two sets merely to equip a headlight pair.
Will these fit my original headlights or another XB model?
No general compatibility is claimed. LF2-DRVSC18 is specified only for LF2-498 and LF2-498Y. Check the part number on your installed or selected Morimoto headlights before ordering.
Can I select a lower-output road mode?
No. Morimoto says the standard drivers must be physically reinstalled to restore compliant output.
