F-150 Morimoto XB license-plate light guide

The correct choice for 2021–2023 F-150.

Use LF7914, listed by Morimoto for 2015–2023 F-150. The pair does not fit 2024 and newer F-150. LF7925 and LF7915 are other Ford housing styles and are not substitutes for this truck.

Compare the lamps before you begin.

Check the new housing shape, locating features and connector against the original assembly. This is a complete-lamp replacement, not a loose LED bulb. Keep the wiring supported and release the original fasteners or clips using the truck’s service procedure.

Connect, test and refit.

1. Park securely and switch off the lighting before disconnecting the original lamps.
2. Release each original lamp using the appropriate vehicle service instructions. Do not pull on the wiring or force an unidentified clip.
3. Compare the removed lamp with its new counterpart, then connect the factory wiring to the new assembly.
4. Switch on the plate lights and check that both lamps illuminate white.
5. Switch the lights off, secure both housings in their original mounting locations, and confirm that the wiring is not trapped. Repeat the lighting check after reassembly.

Morimoto’s LF7914 page specifies a plug-in replacement but does not provide a separate illustrated removal manual. The images here are its actual product photos; they do not show a verified clip-removal direction. If the original lamp does not release easily, consult the Ford service procedure or your installer.

Before discarding the packaging.

Keep the original lamps and check both new lights. If there is a fit or lighting problem, photograph the connector, housing and part label and contact BTS before modifying the lamps. Morimoto provides a two-year limited warranty under its terms.
