Morimoto XB Evo headlights combine dedicated Bi-LED low/high-beam projectors with D-Optic high-beam assist and a defined LED daytime-running-light signature. This package contains one left and one right headlight, with the installation components listed below.

LIGHTING & DESIGN
Purpose-built optics, a distinctive finish
Bi-LED + D-Optic
Each headlight uses one Type 1 Ishida Optic Bi-LED projector and one D-Optic high-beam-assist optic, powered by Osram Oslon LEDs. Vertical aiming is adjustable; aim the lights after installation.
Two-tone internal finish
Piano black and titanium details frame the light optics. Polycarbonate outer lenses have an anti-UV hard coating. Morimoto describes the product as designed, engineered and tested in the USA; the supplier lists country of manufacture as China.
XB EVO FEATURES
Configure the signature. Enable the lens heater.
Four included mode-key pairs
Choose white or amber DRLs and sequential or fade-off turn signals using the included keys. Change keys only with the vehicle and headlights switched off. A welcome sequence plays at startup.
Cold-weather lens heating
The logic-controlled 50W ceramic heating system and circulation fans help reduce lens frost during driving. It requires manual activation each ignition cycle, ambient temperature at or below 5°C / 41°F and suitable operating conditions.
With the engine running, after the welcome sequence, request heating with four high-beam flashes within four seconds. See the guide for voltage, lens-temperature and automatic-high-beam conditions. This is not an overnight heavy-snow defroster.

Confirm the model, year and original headlights
Sierra 1500
2014–2018 GMC Sierra 1500.
2014 old body style is excluded.
Sierra HD
2015–2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD.
2014 HD is outside this verified application.
Developed for North American left-hand-drive vehicles using right-hand-traffic headlight optics. Compatibility outside North America is not guaranteed by Morimoto. Factory LED, halogen and HID equipment requires different supplied input adapters and signal components: identify the original headlight and turn signal from the guide photos before wiring.
Manufacturer-listed OE replacement references: 84046788, 84515728, 84568272, 84228370, 84144047, 84144048, 84144049 and 84144050. Confirm the original headlight configuration; a reference number alone does not establish fitment.
Aftermarket tail lights, side markers or other exterior lights may affect turn-signal timing or sequential operation. The guide specifically flags non-OEM/non-Morimoto exterior lighting; error-free operation with every aftermarket combination is not promised.

- Identify your original projector and turn-signal configuration using the guide photos and connectors; choose the correct input adapter and resistor or feedback module.
- Connect the DRL harness and fuse tap as instructed. The guide specifies a small routing notch in the fuse-box lid, so installation is not entirely modification-free.
- Mount resistors to a suitable steel surface with clearance from heat-sensitive parts.
- Test all functions and aim the headlights after installation. Follow the guide’s adjustment limits.
The supplied components address different factory configurations. If the connector or headlight does not match the guide, contact BTS Lighting before applying power.

Does the price include one light or a pair?
One set contains both the driver-side and passenger-side headlights, plus the listed installation parts.
Will these fit a 2014 Sierra HD?
No verified 2014 HD application is included. These listings cover 2015–2019 Sierra 2500HD/3500HD and 2014–2018 Sierra 1500, excluding the 2014 old body style.
What is different between Evo and Evo Hybrid?
Both use the listed Bi-LED and D-Optic main optics. Evo adds configurable white/amber DRLs, configurable sequential/fade-off turns, a welcome sequence, lens heaters and a piano-black/titanium finish. Hybrid uses fixed white DRLs, fixed fade-off turns and a black finish without the extra Evo features.
Is installation completely plug-and-play?
The assemblies use original mounting locations and supplied factory-configuration wiring parts. The DRL harness needs fuse-box routing, including the small lid notch specified in the guide. Correct resistor/feedback-module selection and aiming are still required.
Are they approved for road use?
Morimoto lists these headlights as DOT/FMVSS108 compliant (LB2V and UB2) for the stated North American application. Correct installation and aiming are required. That manufacturer specification is not an independent performance-test or IIHS award claim.

Morimoto lists five-year limited warranty coverage for these headlights, with service and support through its Atlanta, Georgia team. The manufacturer’s launch information excludes modifications, alterations and misuse. Retain the product identity and proof of purchase and contact BTS Lighting for help with a claim.
