DD7158 · Vehicle-signal adapter
Connect Tacoma signals to a matched reverse-light system.
This adapter connects inline at the original taillight and links the vehicle signals to the separate Diode Dynamics universal reverse-light harness. It is a replacement or build component, not a complete lighting kit.
The vehicle adapter and small accessories

Match the adapter to the truck and harness
DD7158 is used by the manufacturer’s 2016–2023 Tacoma reverse-light kit guide. The standalone part is also labelled 2016–2021 in the manufacturer catalogue. Match the original taillight connectors and exact DD7158 adapter when servicing a kit; use the linked vehicle guide for the installation.
The adapter is intended for the Diode Dynamics Reverse Light Wiring Kit with running light. It is not compatible with the DD4093 dual-output four-pin ditch-light harness.
Separate white reverse and red accent functions
With the correct universal reverse harness and compatible white-main-beam/red-backlight pods, the vehicle signals activate the white lamps in reverse and the red accent with the running lights. The separate harness switch provides reverse-triggered operation, OFF and manual override. Those controls are not supplied with this adapter alone.

Three-year manufacturer warranty
This wiring adapter has a three-year limited manufacturer warranty. Keep proof of purchase and obtain manufacturer authorization before a return. The separate lamp warranty does not extend the adapter’s term.
