For the factory Toyota accessory rail
DD8981 includes the Toyota bed-rail adapter for Tacoma and Tundra models with the factory accessory rail. The current application covers 2005–2027 Tacoma and 2007–2027 Tundra, including the 2016–2023 Tacoma. Confirm the rail and mounting clearance before ordering.
The adapter attaches at the existing rail notch or slides in from the rail end. It does not require vehicle wiring or drilling.
Light where you load
The lamp provides 340 measured lumens of 5500K White light. It works independently of the ignition and cargo-light circuit, with an automatic shutoff after five minutes.
Four AA batteries are included. Diode Dynamics estimates approximately 4.5 hours of total operating time with alkaline batteries; actual life depends on the batteries and conditions.

Fit the batteries, then clamp to the rail
Open the battery carrier, fit the included cells and install the Toyota T-slot hardware. Slide the mount into the rail, set its position and tighten the mounting screw with a 3/32-inch Allen key.
Three-year coverage
The Blade has an IP55K intrusion rating and a three-year manufacturer warranty. It is made in the United Kingdom in partnership with Bee Lighting.
Do I need to connect it to the truck battery?
No. Four included AA batteries power the light independently.
Will it work without factory bed rails?
This DD8981 package needs the compatible Toyota factory accessory rail. It is not a universal adhesive or screw-on bed-light kit.
Does it stay on indefinitely?
No. It turns off automatically after five minutes to help preserve battery life.
