A pair of C2 2.0 Flood pods adds a wider rectangular lighting format beneath the rear bumper. The matched Tacoma adapter and universal harness connect automatic reverse activation, red backlighting and a manual-override switch.

A kit built around the job
A broad Flood pattern
The C2 2.0 uses a 70° × 45° Flood optic for the area behind the truck. Choose Sport or Pro for the desired output level within the same pod family.
A vehicle-specific connection
The DD7153 adapter connects at the original taillight harness. The universal relay harness supplies the pods and provides automatic reverse, manual override and Off modes.
Red when the running lights are on
The red backlight is a separate accent function. Older installed photographs show the mounting location and red-light effect; the current C2 2.0 package is shown in the kit photographs.

The package photograph with a label shows the C2 2.0 Pro kit; the other package photograph is Sport. The C1 dimensional comparison is included only to show the separate, smaller alternative. C1 pods are not part of this order.

Plan the installation before the trail
Use the factory bumper bolts for the supplied pod brackets. Fit the Tacoma adapter at the factory taillight harness and route its connector down to the pod harness. The relay harness requires battery power and ground. Follow the exact vehicle guide for the adapter connection and unused universal section. Route and mount the cabin override switch only if you want manual control inside; automatic-only use can retain Position 1 in the engine bay. Test reverse, red backlight, override and Off before final aiming.

Before you order
Is this the older SSC2 kit?
The selected catalog variants here are DD7156 and DD7157 C2 2.0. Some supplier installation photos and shared instructions still use SSC2 naming; use the current kit package, SKU and pod instructions to identify your order.
Can I keep automatic reverse without running a new cab switch?
Yes. The guide allows the switch to stay in Position 1 in the engine bay if you do not need manual override. Follow its mounting and routing instructions.
Does the backlight act as a brake light?
The documented function is a red running-light accent. Brake-light and strobe features from other products, such as C1R hitch lights, are not claimed for this kit.
What warranty applies?
Eligible lamps have a manufacturer limited lifetime warranty. Commercial, industrial and fleet use is limited to 8 years. Bundled wiring and accessories follow their own published terms. Keep proof of purchase and contact BTS for assistance; the complete manufacturer terms apply.
