The Morimoto LF2-520 XB Evo headlight pair offers Bi-LED low/high beams, selectable white or amber DRLs and a controlled lens-heating system for the listed Ram applications. Canadian trucks require separate LF2-520HCA adapters. Match the original reflector or projector headlights to the correct supplied harnesses.
Fitment and original equipment
- Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 HD: 2009–2018. Ram 1500 Classic: 2019–2024. The Classic application does not establish fitment for the redesigned Ram 1500 body.
- Canadian-spec trucks require LF2-520HCA adapters, sold separately, on the input plug of each headlight assembly.
- Both OE reflector and OE projector harness pairs are supplied. For factory reflector headlights, the installation guide also calls for one supplied magnet-mounted resistor on each side.
- For 2009–2012 trucks, confirm the complete adapter arrangement for the original lamps before ordering; do not assume a generic Ram wiring kit is interchangeable.

Before installation
Use the harness matching the original reflector or projector headlights and follow the resistor mounting instructions for reflector-equipped trucks. Fit LF2-520HCA adapters on Canadian trucks. After wiring the DRL feed, test the chosen modes and check final aim. The guide warns that other aftermarket exterior lamps can affect signal operation; inspect the whole turn-signal circuit if hyperflash occurs.

Do Canadian trucks need an extra adapter?
Yes. Morimoto's installation guide requires LF2-520HCA adapters, sold separately, on the input plug of each headlight assembly for Canadian-spec vehicles. The normal reflector/projector harnesses do not replace that requirement.
Which supplied harness should I use for my factory headlights?
Identify whether the original headlights are reflector or projector style and use the corresponding supplied harnesses. Reflector-equipped trucks also use one supplied magnet-mounted resistor per side, installed as shown in the guide. Confirm the complete adapter arrangement for 2009–2012 trucks.
Can I select amber DRLs without buying the XRGB version?
Yes. LF2-520 supports white or amber DRLs and sequential or fade-off turn signals through the included mode-selector keys. It does not add the Bluetooth RGB colour controls of the separate XRGB model.
How do I activate the lens heater?
With the vehicle running and the welcome sequence finished, flash the high beams four times within four seconds. The guide requires an ambient sensor reading at or below 5°C/41°F. Two response flashes indicate active heating; one acknowledges the request but indicates standby until the operating conditions are met. Heating defaults to off after each ignition cycle.
Will the heater melt heavy snow left on the headlights overnight?
The guide says it is intended to help reduce snow and ice buildup while driving, not to defrost heavy accumulation from an overnight storm. Keep the lenses clear before driving and use the heating system within its stated operating conditions.
Are the Supercharged drivers included or intended for road use?
LF2-DRVSC20 Supercharged drivers are a separate option. Morimoto specifies off-road use only for that configuration. They are not required to use the standard headlights or their lens-heating function.
Will these headlights eliminate hyperflash with every aftermarket tail light?
No. The installation guide warns that other aftermarket tail lights, side markers or exterior lighting can cause hyperflash or sequential-signal problems through mismatched circuit impedance. Test the entire lighting combination and resolve the cause instead of assuming the headlight pair prevents every error.
Does the 2019–2024 listing cover the redesigned Ram 1500?
That part of the LF2-520 application is specifically Ram 1500 Classic. Do not apply it to the redesigned Ram 1500 body. Confirm the body style, original lighting package and market-specific wiring before ordering.
