What changes between SL2 and SL2 Pro?

Choose SL2 when a fanless design or a separate yellow option suits a verified application. Consider SL2 Pro when you want its higher listed white output and have confirmed the installation requirements. Neither choice establishes a universal beam-pattern winner.

Match the lamp before comparing bulbs

Identify the lamp application you are changing, such as a fog light or another permitted use. Confirm the original bulb marking and the vehicle’s actual equipment. A year and model can have multiple lighting packages. Replacing a complete headlight assembly is a separate decision; a halogen replacement bulb is not automatically a replacement for an original LED assembly or HID system.

Then check space behind the bulb, the connector, retaining hardware and dust cover. A socket name helps narrow the selection; it does not settle every installation detail. If the existing bulb or housing differs from the expected specification, resolve that difference before buying.

Compare output with the right evidence

Lumens describe total light output. Lux describes illumination reaching a surface. They measure different things and cannot be compared directly.

For a meaningful bulb beam-test comparison, use the same housing, measurement distance, aim and operating temperature. We have not presented a BTS beam test here, and the specifications above should not be read as a percentage increase in visibility or a safety guarantee.

Does the yellow SL2 switch to white?

No. The white and yellow SL2 options discussed here are separate single-colour versions. Choose the colour you need when selecting the product.

Will I need an anti-flicker module?

That depends on the vehicle’s electrical system and application. Confirm the requirement for your installation; do not assume a module is always needed or that every installation is error-free without one.

Does a matching bulb base prove the bulb is legal for my application?

No. Physical compatibility and permitted use are separate checks. Review the product restriction and the requirements where the vehicle will be used.
