White and Yellow from the same fog-light pair
Select the main-beam colour through the factory fog-light switch. This is a dedicated Dual Color SS3 configuration with one power level, supplied with Type B brackets and H11 adapters.
One kit, two selectable main-beam colours
DD8935 supplies selectable 6000K White and 3000K Yellow SAE Fog output using SmartSelect. It is a single complete configuration, not a Sport/Pro/Max option. The manufacturer lists 20 W per pod for this Dual Color version.
The amber backlight is a separate accent. Choosing the main-beam colour does not turn the backlight into an additional fog beam.
Confirm Type B mounting and original equipment
2016–2023 Tacoma: factory fog-light replacement, excluding TRD Pro. Check the original lamp, mounting points and connector before ordering. A Tacoma without factory fog lights needs a separate wiring and hardware assessment.
Type B is used by several vehicle applications. A matching connector alone does not establish fitment. For another Toyota, Lexus or Subaru application, confirm the exact year, trim and original fog equipment against the manufacturer’s application list.

Install once, then set your colour
Install and aim the Type B pair before programming. Use the original fog switch for SmartSelect, and let the saved colour remain on for at least five seconds.
Optional Tacoma backlight harness: DD4134 can provide an inline connection on compatible 2016–2023 Tacoma headlight connectors. It does not fit factory OEM LED headlights, and some halogen headlight assemblies also lack the required connector. Compare the original connector before adding it. The main fog beam and the amber accent backlight are separate circuits.

Manufacturer coverage
Limited lifetime manufacturer coverage applies to eligible Diode Dynamics lighting purchases from April 15, 2025; commercial, industrial and fleet use is limited to eight years. Dual Color questions
Does this kit include a separate colour switch?
SmartSelect uses the factory fog-light control. Use the timing sequence in the programming guide.
Is Dual Color the same as Max?
No. DD8935 has its own Dual Color configuration and specification. It is not a Max kit with an added feature.
Can I order White and Yellow separately?
This SKU includes both selectable colours. The Toyota SS3 Sport, Pro and Max page offers separate fixed-colour pairs.
